If you are just starting out on the guitar and want to get the basics down, or if you are an experienced guitar player and feeling stuck, Matt can help you play the music you want to play. If you are a beginning student, he will help you get down all the basics: open chords, chord strumming, single note technique, reading basics and tablature. He will teach you all of these things in a fun and engaging way by showing you classic songs in the guitar repertoire like Knockin on Heaven’s Door, Brown Eyed Girl, Daytripper, American Pie and more. You'll even get to quickly learn some of your favorite songs. Matt is also a great music theory teacher. You'll learn about scales, chords, the circle of fifths and key signatures, melody, harmony, rhythm, time signatures and more.

If you are a more advanced player, and are looking for more specific training, Matt has experience teaching in almost every style of music: Rock, Jazz, Folk, Fingerstyle, Classical, Country, Metal, Latin American. Together, you will come up with a plan for your lessons that will help you learn exactly what it is you want to be able to play on the guitar. So if you want to be able to solo like Jimmy Page, or write folk songs like Bob Dylan, or shred like Yngwie, Matt can kelp you do it!
